There is an impossibly cool movement happening in the guitar industry, specifically with effects pedals. People are recreating the beloved fuzz and drive circuits that you’ve heard on all your favorite classic records with period correct components. They’re even building them the old school way. The work that goes into each hand built pedal is incredible. When I was approached to develop a brand for a builder doing this, I jumped at the opportunity.
Vintage Inspired Design
Drawing inspiration from vintage audio and electronics, I designed a custom script logotype and accompanying marks that brought some of that old school charm into a slightly more modern and deliberate execution. When it came time for the pedal artwork, we initially kicked around the idea of screen printing but I couldn’t get the idea of metal labels out of my head. You’ve seen them riveted to all kinds of old manufactured products and now you get to see them here!
Extended Branding
Of course, some of the best marketing you can do for your brand is to be visible so we decided really lean in to apparel. As the brand grows we hope to expand this into full packaging to really give the customers an impactful experience.
