The Idea
I tried to write an eloquent opener, but it really comes down to three simple words: public restrooms stink. We’ve all been on a road trip where nature calls and the dread of the unknown has you in an existential panic. Where do I go? Do they even have restrooms? I hope it’s not one of those on the outside of the building, please god no.
We travel a lot and we’re tired of restroom roulette. Enter, NeatSeats.
The App
Ok here’s my elevator pitch. Yelp for public restrooms.
Driven by location based suggestions and listings populated with reviews backed by a peer supported community of NeatSeaters. A simple, clean experience that gets you where you need to go when you have to go. Reinforcing the values of cleanliness, trustworthiness, and authenticity I chose typography and colors that are bold yet approachable, putting the user’s mind at ease in what is often their most desperate hour.
The System
As with any experience, I build a structured library of auto-layout components in Figma. My goal is to create an accessible library that any team/user can interact with, empowering them to test and iterate independently. The best ideas come from collaboration and an accessible file gives us all the best space to work together. It’s a modular, atomic approach to building experiences that allows for flexibility while maintaining consistency.
